KUALA LUMPUR, 23 Mei -- Linda Agik, 48, menunjukkan cara menganyam tempok dari daun kelapa iaitu perhiasan kepala yang digunakan bagi majlis keramaian di reruai Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli (JAKOA) sempena Sidang Kemuncak ASEAN ke-46 di Pusat Konvensyen Kuala Lumpur (KLCC), di sini, hari ini.

Budaya pribumi Orang Asli negara ini diketengahkan ke pentas ASEAN kepada khalayak lebih luas, termasuk dalam kalangan negara ASEAN bagi memperkenal dan memelihara warisan identiti komuniti itu.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 – Linda Agik, 48, shows how to use coconut leaves to weave the 'tempok', a headgear traditionally worn by the Orang Asli in both daily wear and ritual ceremonies.

The demonstration was held at the Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) booth, as part of an exhibition held in conjunction with the 46th ASEAN Summit at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre today.

The showcase is meant to highlight the vibrant indigenous culture of Malaysia's Orang Asli on the ASEAN stage, offering regional audiences a glimpse into the rich heritage and identity of this community.
